Founder story

Built from 18 years of writing it down.

Mike riding a chestnut horse in a hard sliding stop, blue shirt and black chaps

Mike began riding seriously at age 40. His first coach told him that to be competitive he needed a great coach — and that he should write down every ride: where it happened, who was there, what worked, what didn't, and what to improve next time.

He followed that advice for 18 years. Notebooks stacked up. The rides were all there — but the old lessons became harder and harder to find when they were needed most.

EquestrianIQ was created to keep that knowledge useful and accessible — the rider's memory, quietly working alongside them.
