BlackGranite AI Systems is a founder-led software company. It was started by Mike Joslin to build practical software from real-world problems he's encountered in more than twenty-five years of operational work.
Mike has spent his career in the rail industry, with hands-on experience in safety, field operations, and the kind of judgement calls that don't fit neatly into a dashboard. Alongside that, he's spent nearly two decades in competitive equestrian sport — where discipline, feedback, and long memory quietly separate amateurs from the people who keep improving.
BlackGranite exists because both of those worlds share the same problem: good information is generated every day, and most of it is lost.
Our first product, EquestrianIQ, is the answer to a piece of advice Mike was given by his first coach — write down every ride — carried forward with modern tools.
